When I first threw down a little money to get this blog started, I was ready to start writing that day...

...And then life happens. There's been some great learning points for me in the past couple weeks.

  • QoS/CoS takes a lot of planning--especially in networks that have never had it configured.
  • I need to learn how to take better/more concise notes. 63 pages--that's how many pages of notes I had for the JNCIA certification.
  • Performing Domain Searches on HaveIBeenPwned.com for two e-mail domains can come with a lot of unexpected work.

My first post will cover how a flat wireless VLAN was broken up into many at 4 different sites. The network changed from a switched access layer to a routed access layer in the span of a week. This was in preparation for the return to in-person learning.

For the blog itself, I've made a highly simplified network diagram. That's pretty much all I've had time to do. I'm really excited to get back to work on it!

Anyhow, soon™.
